#### The Polaris Clubhouse
 
The north star of Vale das Estrelas is the Polaris Clubhouse which offers a spacious communal area with stunning views, a lounge, library, and both indoor and outdoor chairs and tables. It’s the perfect setting for enjoying meals hot from the braai, hosting events and wine tastings, with a cozy roaring fire in the winter and the infinity pool, sun loungers and pool bar for the summer.

#### Wine Story-tastings
 
Wine is at the core of Vale das Estrelas, and guests can explore the rich history of Alentejo through our unique Wine Story-tastings. Based on our travels and experiences meeting local winemakers for our podcast series Ana & Al’s Big Portuguese Wine Adventure, they are not just about savouring flavours, but also about uncovering the stories behind them. We offer an immersive journey through Portugal’s diverse wine regions and indigenous grapes, paired with the best bottles from Alentejo’s wineries.

#### Pétanque with a View
 
Pétanque, Boules, or Pétanca as they call it here - we’ve built a championship sized court next to our three sisters: the old olive trees which share your sweeping view of the Alentejo landscape. Whether a seasoned player or a beginner, it’s a chance to indulge in friendly competition while soaking in the natural beauty. The game is all about good company and the joy of playing under the open sky.

Learn about the Vale das Estrelas commitment to sustainability with a tour showcasing our off-grid systems. From rainwater capture and filtration, to solar-powered electricity and innovative water recycling, we’ve built a fully self-sufficient lodge and we’re excited to share our journey of sustainable living and the latest technology we use to ensure minimal environmental impact.

#### Medronho Tasting
 
The local Alentejo firewater is distilled from Medronho fruit (or the strawberry tree in English) and it’s becoming a booming artisanal industry. Join a hike down the valley to meet “Medronho Jorge” Grosskopf for a tour of his distillery and a taste of his double-distilled strong liquor with a fruity twist, or try a dram with a dramatic view here at Vale das Estrelas and take a bottle home.

Wellness in the Valley of the Stars is about reconnecting with nature and yourself with walks from your door or trails along the clifftops. We offer a range of activities focused on relaxation and rejuvenation including on site yoga, guided movement and massages by renowned American therapist Trish Freccia. With the serene surroundings and nourishing local food, wellness is seamlessly integrated into every aspect of the stay.
